St.Patricks Day
Garryowen in the Media
Garryowen players appeared on Channel 9's morning show
The Today Show with members of other teams of the GAA to promote Gaelic Football and Hurling. For St. Patricks Day the weather segments were filmed live from Dan O'Connell's pub in Carlton. After showcasing the talents of young Irish Dancers, the focus was turned to Gaelic sports. First the Hurlers were given their 15 seconds of fame of showing their skills with the interesting 'fact' from Steven Jacobs (the weather guy) that in early versions of the game the players would play to the death. After the national forcasts the footballers then had their turn.
Thankyou to all those who gave up their morning to promote their sport and Garryowen.
