GAA Results
Congratulations to the Garryowen Hurlers for winning the Knockout Championship final for the third year running in June. They defeated the Melbourne Shamrocks in a close final. Our Women footballers made the final but were beaten by the much improved Sinn Fein team. The Men drew Wolfe Tones in the first week and that is where their Championship stopped.
The League finals are finished for 2008. Garryowen unfortunately did not make any of the League finals this year with both the Women and Hurlers finishing third and the Men finishing fifth.
Sinn Fein finished the season well in all codes by defeating Wolfe Tones, Grace O'Malleys and the Melbourne Shamrocks in the Men, Women and Hurling finals respectively to take a clean sweep of the League competition for the year.
