2006 Fixtures
The fixtures for the full season have been released. Men's Football, Women's Football and Hurling all start the year with the seven-a-side competition on the 19th February. Training is on each Wednesday at 6:30pmWelcome to the Garryowen Newsletter. We will issue a regular newsletter to keep you informed of events and news around the club. There is plenty happening with the start of the new season and upcoming events to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Mexican Night
Everyone is invited to join us after training on Wednesday March 22nd at ??? for dinner from 8pm. The restaurant is right next to our training venue in Oakleigh. This is a fundraising event for Garryowen as the club will receive a percentage of the profits from the night. So come and eat well and catch up with the teams.Irish National Day - 5th March
A full day of football, hurling and entertainment is planned for Irish National Day at Gaelic Park. Members are encouraged to bring their friends and family to enjoy the day and help the GAA kick off its 2006 season. Garryowen Women's team is playing at 11am against St.Kevins and our Hurling team will play Melbourne Shamrocks at 3:30pm.Entry is $7.
Club Memberships
Club memberships are now available for the season. A range of options are available for players and supporters. Also new shirts will be available so you can wear the Garryowen colours with pride. For more information view the Membership page.Garryowen's 50th Anniversary
This year Garryowen is celebrating its 50th Anniversary. In July we are having a dinner for this great milestone and we would like to invite players and supporters from past and present.To help us keep in contact with you about our anniversary and other events please send your details to Garryowen
International Rules
Garryowen Men's first game of the 2006 season was an International Rules practice match against Oakleigh Districts on Sunday 29th January. Although not precisely abiding by International Rules, the game still sternly tested fitness and skill.More in the full report
